HI! I’M MAUREEN!
Pag-amuma is a corner of the web to inspire and help you to have a simpler and more intentional life in a world full of distractions.

“Pag-amuma” is a Cebuano word that means to care and to nurture. I chose this name for this blog as a reminder to slow down and give thoughtful attention to what actually matters.
WHY CREATE PAG-AMUMA?
I started Pag-amuma because the loud life was not working for me anymore. The pressure to want more, do more, buy more, post more, and achieve more weren’t bringing me closer to a life that is aligned with my values
Choosing to living simply and intentionally has not been easy. Going against the grain rarely is, especially in a culture where worth is measured by how much you accumulate and how loud you can be about it. Yet, in my experience, every step towards less has given me more in my life.
I write about this so the people who are quietly tired of the same noise know they are not alone.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND HERE
I write about minimalism, intentional living, and the culture and society we are living in. These three are not separate to me. You can’t live simply without questioning the systems that keep you wanting more and you can’t live with intention without paying attention to the world you are part of.
Here, you will find honest essays, practical tips, and reflections on the everyday choices that helped shape my life. Some posts will be light while some will sting a little. All of them are written from where I actually stand as a Filipino Zillenial (The cusp of a Millenial and Gen Z).
WHO THIS IS FOR
Pag-amuma is for the person who is tired of chasing a version of life that was never theirs to begin with. The one who wants less clutter, less noise, less pretending, and more of what it is to live a life that is aligned with your values.
If that is you, I am glad you are here.
